our philosophy

When techonology can scan hundreds of peer-reviewed studies and give patients answers in seconds, health care organizations that want to thrive must increase their focus on the one thing that AI can't touch: genuine human connection.

At Medical Manners, our mission is to help your team master the skills necessary to build meaningful connections. We work with healthcare organizations to transform everyday interactions so patients and colleagues alike say, "They just connect better there."

why it works

Katie Wyatt, FNP, podcast host, and educator, has spent years creating practical systems to help healthcare providers truly connect.

Unlike textbooks that offer lofty theories, Katie works on the front lines of patient care. She sees the challenging cases, covers nights and weekends, and understands the real-world pressures providers face.

Her programs are built from that experience—grounded in science, tested in practice, and refined through collaboration with leading experts. The result: skills that work with real patients in real situations.

our approach

We help transform the way healthcare providers connect with their patients and colleagues. Which in turn, transforms health care organizations.

Initial training on hire

From the start we help you establish: This is who we are. This is how we care. This is the expectation. Our approach makes it clear-your organiztion does things differently, and excellence beghins on day one.

Optional Yearly Training with Reward

Providers retain more when education is optional rather than mandatory.

We recommend a reward-based course offered annually as part of your organization’s wellness program. These trainings keep providers current and strengthen skills that benefit both their professional practice and personal lives—an essential component of true wellness.

Peer-led weekly mini trainings

The AHA found that providers who have low-dose, high-frequency training in CPR give much higher quality CPR.

We found the same is true. One book, one course, one seminar isn't enough.

Low-dose, high-frequency training yields the most effective connection with others.
