Medical Manners was born when Katie Wyatt NP-C realized bedside manners could be taught. Just like music lessons, dancing or art--while surely some are better naturally than others--anyone can learn. All it takes is a good teacher who can teach the skills and consistent practice.
Once we realized these skills could be taught and learned, we went on a mission. To transform the way healthcare is delievered. We believe that at the root of all of our problems in the healthcare system, is the lack of connection. When we fix the way healthcare teams connect on a micro level, we make huge transformations on a macro level.
Healthcare providers receive little to none of this traniing in their medical education. So we've got a lot of making up to do!
Unlike vague theories you can read about in textbooks, our skills are founded in science and tried and true in practice. We only teach you the things that work in an actual exam room with actual patients.
